Pay for Google
Starting June 11th of 2018, Google is now charging every single user of the Google Maps API. This means anyone using Google Maps, whether straight up or integrated in a plugin, will now face being charged, regardless if they are a commercial entity, hobbyist, or non-profit.
What that means for you my clients, well if you still want your map on your website you need a google account, your need to add your billing details and then you can add your own APIs to your website. The up side is you get $200 free credit every month, the downside is it’s a ballache! Yep I said it…
Ok this is where again I can give you a service, I have my developers account, I set up your sites with there own APIs and if you do go over a threshold I charge you what google charges me on your account.
Can I cancel? Yes you can if you do get billed I can just take your map off your website and you can direct people to googlemaps. Downside is that leads traffic away from your site and you could possibly lose sales.
Its a lot to think about, ask me for more info….
