What is a API?, you will often here me talking about them…
API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface, its the way software talks to each other, sending data from one interface to another.
You don’t always realise it but you use them daily.
By using Facebook messenger you’re in fact using a API. When building sites trondez uses multiple APIs to communicate between google, plugins, databases, mail chimp and payment systems. APIs are also like keys to open doors to other software. Data is securely passed from software to software creating a story as it goes.
This is a simple explanation but hopefully it helps next time I mention APIs you have some understanding.
