Web design – this could mean being able to design templates.

Also used as a term for someone that can use drag and drop website makers such as WIX, WEEBLY, GODADDY … the templates are used multiple times just with colour changes and your added logo. No experience necessary. No SEO and limitations to expansion.

Web development – this usually means the ability to change said web designs to template format through CSS, this also means extensions added and some coding. Usually using off the shelf packages such as WordPress, Joomla, Moto, WooCommerce. Middle of the range, a lot more flexible and better overall SEO.
You can start with basic and grow.

Web programming – UX and UI – this is a little more again some bespoke design, some bespoke coding, this can be using off the shelf but tailor making it for your website needs with added coding. Big business, lots of work, bigger budgets.

When you are paying for your next website be aware of what you are paying for, it may look pretty but will it market you the way you want. Ask your designer/developer questions, What platform will you build my site on. #professionalwebdevelopment
